In August 2016 the residential property company Stadtsiedlung Heilbronn gave us the job of legionella testing in their drinking water installations. The current issue of their resident's magazine AT HOME gives a short summary of the collaboration of our two firms to deal with the problem of potable water contaminated with legionella. The article includes a check list for house owners and tenants what they can do to minimize the risk of biofilm growth in the domestic piping system.
From September to November 2016 we have checked 250 central heating boilers supplying more than 2.500 rental units with warm water. 600 samples were drawn and tested for legionella contamination. Just a few times the timit of 100 colony forming units was exceeded.
The project had a few additional requirements for us: we were asked to implement a data port in cooperation with another IT service provider in order to import the data (on samplings and results) in the ERP-Software of the housing company. Of course, we did the job to our customer's full satisfaction.
